GHANA – Zenith Bank, Ghana’s third largest bank in terms of asset base value, is in September this year celebrating its 14th anniversary of successful operations in the country.

The financial services provider made an entry into the Ghanaian banking landscape in September 2005.

From the Bank’s first branch cum head office at the Premier Towers in Accra launched 14 years ago, Zenith Bank has grown into 38 business locations (branches and agencies) spread across the length and breadth of the country.

The Bank has also since moved to an ultramodern head office on the Independence Avenue, Accra.

The move to the state of the art office was necessitated by the need to adequately manage the Bank’s operations which were expanding and becoming more complex with time.

During the past 14 years, the bank has been able to introduce many key programs that provide customers with greater speed, accuracy and convenience while at the same time immensely impacting the Ghanaian banking landscape.

Some of the programs pioneered by Zenith include internet banking, mobile banking, card solutions, and electronic payments.

The Bank early this year launched its digital banking campaign themed ‘Go Lite with Zenith Bank’, to highlight the various electronic banking products of the Bank.

Some of the products and services being highlighted under the “Go Lite with Zenith Bank” campaign include the Bank’s mobile banking application, Z-Mobile, Point of Sale Terminals, GlobalPAY, Scan to Pay as well as its USSD Code *966#, amongst others.

Its provision of excellent services in Ghana has also seen the Bank awarded over 70 awards, 14 of which were received this year.

The bank was also in 2019 ranked the second most credible bank in Ghana by the Credmap Technology Ghana Banking Credibility Index.

The Bank’s 14th anniversary will be marked with a nationwide Retail Market Drive on the premises of some customers of the Bank, to publicise the Bank’s array of electronic banking products and services.

Zenith will also use the opportunity to educate the public on the benefits and convenience of cashless transactions in line with the country’s cash-lite society agenda.

The Anniversary celebration will be climaxed with the Bank’s flagship sporting event, the ‘Zenith Health Walk’, which will bring together all staff and customers of the Bank for a session of aerobics, brisk walking, bonding and merry-making.
