MOROCCO – Tanger Med Group, a global logistics gateway, has announced the opening of its third campus, 1337 MED, at the Tetouan Shore business district, near Cabo Negro, northern Morocco, in September 2021.
According to a press release from the Tanger Med Special Agency, the 1337 MED campus, the third of its kind after those in Khouribga and Benguerir, will offer free computer development and coding training to all, without a diploma or computer skills requirement, and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week (TMSA).
1337 MED, which currently has 150 posts, will expand to 210 posts by 2023, with the goal of training over 650 students.
Tanger Med is implementing this unprecedented training in the region, free and without the requirement of a diploma or computer experience. The firm would also provide students life grants to cover their housing costs while also stimulating the local economy.
UM6P will offer the technical and instructional support required for the launch and long-term management of this new branch of the 1337 Schools as part of this cooperation.

In addition, 1337 MED will participate in aligning the digital skills required by the job market and the actual availability of these skills within the country’s second economic pole, since, in an era of accelerated digitization, the strengthening of Moroccan skills in digital technology and the promotion of digital entrepreneurship are critical.
The introduction of 1337 MED expands the national network’s capacity and geographical reach by providing a training program for architects in digital technology in Morocco’s northwestern area.
The school’s pedagogy is founded on three important pillars: peer-to-peer learning, gamification and progression so that each student develops his abilities, and the decompartmentalization of time. It is completely free and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The school belongs to a 42 international network.
