EGYPT – Rowad Modern Engineering Company, an ElSewedy Electric subsidiary, has signed a partnership contract with Starlight Developments to implement the construction works of the prestigious urban development project, Katameya Creeks, built in Cairo with a total investment cost of EGP3.1 billion (US$200m).
The contract was signed at Starlight Developments headquarters as represented by Eng. Sherif Aboutaleb and Eng. Muhammad Mahlab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Rowad Company for Modern Engineering.
“Honored to build Katameya Creeks – top ranked unique luxury residential project- by its strategic location and surface that ensures the uniqueness of the living experience and privacy for residents with state-of-the-art construction standards of the urban plan established in the neo- classic style. All units will be delivered in 30 months with the highest construction specifications,” Eng. Mohamed Ibrahim Mahlab, Chairman Rowad Modern Engineering said.
This contract guarantees the implementation of the unique master plan for the project as designed by the global expert house ERGA, with its construction work carried out in accordance with the highest standards of quality, guaranteeing delivery within the time period announced.

Assigning all the infrastructure, construction and finishing work of the project to Rowad Modern Engineering comes as a commitment to the best and a testament to Rowad’s extensive experience not only in Egypt but throughout the Middle East and Africa.
In addition, RME’s scope of work boasts sectors of Residential Developments, Commercial Buildings, Hotels, Educational Facilities, Power Generation, Heavy Industries and Infrastructure, Bridges, Hospitals, and Railways.
Katameya Creeks is built on an area of 42 acres, with a building ratio of less than 16% of the total area of the project to give unique privacy to each of the project’s 400 units.
Available units are built on varying areas and different designs in a modern-classic style surrounded by green spaces on all sides, served by underground parking. A social club, a commercial strip and an area dedicated to shops and basic services for the project residents is especially designed for easy integrated living.
