KENYA  – Bolt, a ride-hailing platform, has selected the top 120 participants for its Accelerator Program in Kenya.

Following a rigorous evaluation process, these individuals have distinguished themselves with their innovative ideas and commitment to shaping sustainable transportation solutions.

With applications now closed, Bolt commences the next phase of the program – The Bolt Academy. 

The selected participants will undergo a comprehensive one-month online business training through the Bolt Academy in conjunction with Alison, a leading online training platform. Tailored to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills, this training will equip them with the necessary tools to seize future career opportunities.

The Participants will be trained in courses ranging from Digital Marketing to Leadership Skills, Project Management, Customer Relationship Management, Entrepreneurship, and Communication Skills to help them sharpen their skills.

The top 20 participants will also benefit from additional exclusive training sessions led by seasoned entrepreneurs and personalized mentoring sessions to further refine their ventures.

In collaboration with The Nest Innovation Technology Park, Bolt remains steadfast in providing a supportive ecosystem for the participants. Leveraging a network of experienced mentors, Bolt will guide participants through every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.

The program will culminate in July, the highly anticipated Business Pitch Day. Here, the top 20 business ideas will compete for seed funding of €2000 (US$2148.98) each, and the top ten business ideas will be selected to receive seed funding of €2000 (US$2148.98)  each, accompanied by ongoing mentoring support to nurture their ventures to fruition.

This development expresses Bolt and The Nest’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and sustainable urban mobility solutions within Kenya’s diverse communities.
