NIGERIA – Dana Air, a leading domestic carrier in Nigeria has announced it plans to create more flights routes before the end of the year by expanding its fleet.
The airline stated that with the addition of two of its recently acquired B737 aircraft, it would expand its flight services.
“We are looking at creating more flights and providing massive capacity to underserved destinations within our route network this year to ensure seamless travel experience for our guests to avoid the uncertainty of last year,” said Mr. Mr Kingsley Ezenwa ,” the airline’s Media and Communications Manager.
Ezenwa, who made this known during an event to mark Dana Air’s 11th anniversary, said the airline had airlifted 5.4 million passengers since it began operations.
He added that the airline hoped to double the figure by sustaining its operational efficiency, increasing its fleet size, maintaining its record on-time performance, and raising the bar of its excellent service delivery in the coming years.
“Having completed a commercial analysis of our loads in the last 11 years and confirmed it to stand at 5.4 million,” the media communications manager revealed.
He further added that the airline had commenced reviewing plans and it intended to raise the bar on its operational efficiency.
Dana air plans to increase its fleet and improve on its service delivery to maintain and attract more customers.
The airline also plans to maintain and improve its Dana miles club which offers benefits such as miles plus cash, miles in exchange for ticket, excess baggage allowance, discount at partner outlets and upgrade from economy to business class to its loyal customers.
“Our Dana Miles guests should expect more in terms of innovation and rewards,” said the media communications manager.
Dana air was founded in 2008 and has grown its fleet to 6 aircrafts comprising 2 Boeing 737-300 and 4 McDonnell Douglas aircrafts.
It operates from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and serves various local destinations in Nigeria including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Oyo.
