KENYA – Hotpoint Appliances Ltd, a supplier of consumer electronics and entertainment products, has completed its move into their new Ksh1.1 billion (US$10m) offices block.
According to Soko Directory, the new headquarters will also house the company’s East Africa headquarters, distribution center and warehouses including bonded warehouse, service center, duct fabricating workshop and a brand experience zone. It will also serve the company’s operations in Tanzania and Rwanda.
Hotpoint Appliances Limited Managing Director, Mr. Shailesh R. Kanani said the move was necessitated by a growing demand for their warehousing, service and office space brought about by consumer demands for their products.
“This move is part of our long-term plans to have our own facility which has been designed in line with our requirements in terms of logistics, service and office space.
“It also provides us with the synergy of having all the departments under one roof which has provided a more conducive working environment boosting staff productivity & better customer service levels.” said Mr. Shailesh Kanani.
“Our new state of the art headquarters will host 350 of our more than 500 employees in addition to our warehouses, our new and improved service center and an interactive experience zone for the brands we represent,” added Mr. Shailesh
“this is in addition to our existing 3 Service Centres, the main one being at our HQ here in Ruiru, the second one at Sarit Centre and third in our branch in Likoni.”
The premier electronics, home appliances & Air conditioning distributor which were established in 1984 has 17 permanent technicians and 5 in-home service vehicles across all its service centres.
The company which has grown into one of the region’s largest retailers and wholesalers of consumer electronics and entertainment products recently signed Beurer, Babyliss and Instyler into their impressive product portfolio of 12 global brands as they constantly make their products more relevant to the various market segments by updating their model line-up in line with market requirements.
The company is also working on expanding their channels to make their products more accessible to all segments of the market while upgrading its retail outlets to give a better consumer experience.
In addition, Hotpoint has product financing options available to its end consumers. The company is also investing in both internal and external training on sales, customer service and technical service for its staff members.
