GHANA – Hollard Ghana has appointed Cynthia Ofori-Dwumfuo as Group’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
As the new head of marketing and corporate affairs at Hollard, Cynthia will be responsible for formulating and driving strategic marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing the Hollard brand.
She will also be tasked with sustainably
growing the group’s various subsidiaries – Hollard Insurance Ghana Limited and
Hollard Life Assurance Ghana Limited. She will be reporting to the Group’s CEO,
Patience Akyianu.

We believe Cynthia will bring her energy and experience to bear in achieving
our goal to become the number one insurance group,” said Group CEO, Patience
Akyianu.
Cynthia has over 12 years of marketing
communications experience spanning three continents.
Her career has focused on corporate
communications, brand development, marketing (traditional and digital), public,
media and government relations, corporate social responsibility, and events
management.
Prior to joining Hollard, Cynthia led public
relations in Ghana and West Africa for Ogilvy, a global ad-agency network.
She is credited with significantly increasing the company’s PR revenues in less than three years.
Some of the award winning assignments which she undertook while at Ogilvy include: Coca-Cola’s 2018 “Share a Coke” World Cup Nigeria/Ghana PR campaign, Guinness’ ‘1759 celebrates 1957’ promotion, and VISA’s AFCON partnership.
Before joining Ogilvy, Cynthia had held senior
roles at Now Available Africa and Global Media Alliance where she was
responsible for managing projects for multinational and local clients across
West and Central Africa.
Globally, she has also worked in the USA and UK,
notably for Vox Global, a Fleishman Hillard public affairs company.
Early in her career, she honed her skills in strategy at reputable Ghanaian management consulting firm, Shawbell Consulting.
Cynthia holds an M.A. in Communication from
Clemson University, USA, and a B.A. in Economics from KNUST, Kumasi.
Hollard Insurance Ghana has been present in
Ghana for the past 29 years. It was formerly known as The Metropolitan
Insurance Company (MET) before rebranding in 2015.
Its sister company, Hollard Life Assurance Ghana was started in 2018. Both
companies are subsidiaries of Holland Group which has an international
portfolio that is Group currently operating in 18 countries in Africa and Asia.
