SOUTH AFRICA – JCB, a manufacturer of construction, agriculture waste handling and demolitions, has appointed Bell Equipment Sales South Africa (BESSA) to be its distributor in the key South African market for the full range of JCB construction equipment effective May 1, 2021.
JCB general manager for Africa, Andrew Boyers, said, “BESSA has more than 20 branches strategically located throughout the country, highly skilled staff, strong training and development programmes and a market leading position in a number of applications and sectors. The announcement comes at a time when Bell Equipment is set to end its 21-year-old relationship with Illinois based agricultural and other machinery manufacturing giant John Deere with effect from January 2023.
Bell Equipment currently distributes a number of Bell-branded and John Deere products in certain markets in Southern Africa either through its own network or via sub dealers though its main market is South Africa.
