COTE DÍVOIRE – Accor, a French multinational hospitality company, has announced the appointment of Daniel Karbownik, its Regional Director for West and Central Africa, as the supervisor for Côte d’Ivoire and the general management of the Sofitel Abidjan – Hôtel Ivoire.
In this extended role, Daniel will supervise activities in Côte d’Ivoire but also in Senegal, Benin, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea. He will support the hotel teams on site and ensure the development of all Accor brands, around twenty hotels, present and future in the region.

Daniel started his career in the tourism sector in 1987 with Club Méditerranée. In 1999, as General Manager, he opened Club Med World in Paris, then in 2002 became General Manager of the various Club Med in Marrakech.
From 2006 to 2009, he served as Chairman of Club Med Events. In January 2010, he joined the Accor group as General Manager of Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa, then in 2013 became Area General Manager Luxury & Upscale Brands Accor for Southern Morocco (Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay, Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa, Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa and MGallery La Médina Essaouira).
In 2016, he became Area General Manager AccorHotels Luxe for Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, then in June 2019 Area General Manager West and Central Africa.
